Frequently Asked Questions
-
What areas do you service? We’re based on the Gold Coast and service surrounding marinas and waterways. We also travel for jobs when arranged in advance — just get in touch to chat.
-
What kinds of boats do you work on?We work on all types — from tinnies and trailer boats to large cruisers, yachts, and commercial vessels. Whether it’s 12V, 24V, AC systems or solar, we’ve got you covered.
-
Do I need to be there while you work on my boat? Not necessarily. As long as we’ve discussed the job clearly and have access, we can complete most work without you being present. We’ll keep you updated with progress and photos if needed.
-
Can you work while my boat is in the water?Yes — most of our work can be done while the vessel is in the water, whether it’s at a marina, pontoon, or moored. If a hardstand is ever required for safety or access, we’ll let you know in advance.
-
Do you do marine inspections?Yes! We offer comprehensive pre-purchase and general health inspections. These include a detailed report, photos, and a breakdown of any safety or compliance issues.
-
Can I get a quote first?Always. We provide clear, up-front quotes so you know exactly what you’re paying for — no surprises.
-
How do I book a job or inspection? You can get in touch through the contact form, call or text us directly, or message us on Facebook. Once we have a few details, we’ll provide a quote and lock in a time.
-
What happens if you find extra issues during the job?If we find anything unexpected, we’ll contact you straight away before proceeding. No surprise invoices — we’ll explain the issue, provide options, and only move forward with your approval.
-
Can you upgrade my existing electrical system?Absolutely. We specialise in full electrical upgrades — batteries, switchboards, solar, inverters, chargers, lighting and more. We’ll tailor the setup to your boat and how you use it.
-
Do you install lithium batteries? Are they safe?Yes — we install lithium (LiFePO₄) battery systems and tailor them to suit your boat’s needs. When installed correctly with the right protections — like a Battery Management System (BMS), proper fusing, monitoring, and charging — lithium is extremely safe, reliable, and efficient. We only install reputable lithium brands with proven performance and safety records. All installations are completed using marine-grade components and meet Australian standards for safety and compliance.
-
Can you help with solar setups on my boat?Yes — we design and install full solar systems to suit your vessel’s needs, whether it’s for topping up batteries or running your gear off-grid. We’ll work out the right panel size, regulator, and wiring to match your setup safely and efficiently.
-
Do you work with off-grid or hybrid systems?Definitely. Many of our clients want to spend more time off-grid without running generators. We install full battery/inverter/solar setups with smart monitoring, giving you reliable power anywhere you go.
-
What brands do you use?We trust and regularly install Victron, Enerdrive, Blue Sea, Garmin, CZONE and other proven marine-grade gear. We only use quality components that we’d trust on our own vessels.
-
How do payments work?We invoice once the job’s complete, unless otherwise discussed. Payment is due within 7 days — we accept bank transfer and card payments.
-
Do you offer warranty?Yes. All products come with manufacturer warranty, and we back our workmanship for 12 months. If something’s not right, we’ll sort it.
-
I’m not sure what I need. Can you help?Of course. That’s what we’re here for. Whether it’s troubleshooting, system design, or a full fitout — we’ll chat through your options and recommend the best setup for your boat and budget.
